The Racial Healing Project, a collaborative movement designed to allow diverse racial groups to work together for a common goal and better understanding. The Project is an initiative of the Rotary Peacebuilders whose goal is to energize local clubs around issues most effectively addressed by a pan-club approach.
On Thursday, April 29 at 4 pm. members of the collaborative will gather at the Boone County Courthouse located at 705 E. Walnut in Columbia, MO, and host a prayer vigil and march to the location of the James Scott plaque on the MKT Trail. This plaque marks the site where former Columbia resident James Scott was lynched in 1923.
